Nine-Hole Shoe RFQs: Define the Supplied Pair

Oct 30, 2026 | Industry Trends
A shoe RFQ should define exactly what the supplier means by one quoted pair, identify any separately offered component and state how pairs become packing and shipment quantities. Use the Nine-Hole Shoes catalogue photograph to identify the proposed appearance, then obtain a written member list. A picture of two shoes does not by itself confirm the complete contents of a retail or shipping unit.
Use the product name as a reference, not a specification
The official listing is titled Nine-Hole Shoes, while the website places it in a 9-eyelet shoes category. Preserve the product link and catalogue name when requesting a quotation. Do not reinterpret either label as a verified count of lace eyelets, an agreed technical construction or a performance result. Ask the supplier to identify the exact offered version.
The saved main photograph shows a white and orange pair, with visible laces and one shoe positioned beside a laptop. That staging helps identify the image, but the laptop is not a requested supply item. Original marks on the shoes remain part of the reference photograph; their ownership, licensing and relationship to the website company are not asserted here.
Write down the members of one supplied pair
Ask the supplier to state whether the quoted unit comprises a left shoe and a right shoe carrying the same ordered designation and agreed appearance reference. This is a question for the offered model, not a conclusion drawn solely from the image. Record any proposed difference between the two members before approving the quotation.
List visible or separately discussed components without assuming that they are detachable, replaceable or supplied as spares. For example, laces visible in the catalogue may be recorded as part of the appearance reference, while a spare set would need its own explicit confirmation. Any other proposed accessory should be named and quantified, or marked not offered or unresolved.
Supply record | Confirmation requested | Avoid this assumption
Quoted pair | Left and right member identities and matching reference | Two pictured shoes prove the full supplied unit
Visible components | Which shown components form the offered shoe | Every visible detail is a separate spare
Separately offered extras | Name, quantity and inclusion or separate quotation | An unspecified accessory is included
Packing unit | Pairs per proposed inner pack and shipping container | A catalogue photo defines packing
Unresolved item | Supplier reply or explicit exclusion | An empty answer means approval
Keep pieces, pairs and containers in separate columns
A quantity written as shoes may refer to individual pieces, while another quotation may use pairs. State the intended unit beside every quantity. If the supplier confirms a conventional left-and-right pair, record that two individual shoe pieces make one ordered pair; do not apply that conversion to an undefined assortment or a separately quoted component.
Record pairs per proposed inner pack and inner packs per shipping container only after the supplier confirms those figures. Multiply the confirmed levels and reconcile the result with the requested total pairs. If packing changes, update that calculation and the affected label references rather than treating the old packing total as automatically valid.
• State a quantity unit for the requested order and the supplier quotation.
• Keep individual pieces, complete pairs and proposed packs as separate fields.
• Identify separately supplied extras without adding them to the shoe-pair count.
• Flag incomplete or mismatched member sets for a decision, rather than silently reclassifying them.
Link a sample record to the exact supply list
When a sample becomes available, give it a reference that connects the actual pair to the quoted model, appearance and written member list. Take notes on which members and separately proposed items were received. This provides a practical receiving reference without claiming that one photograph proves material composition or construction beneath the visible surfaces.
Keep the sample observation and the supplier declaration in adjacent fields. If a component is absent from the sample but promised in a quotation, record the difference and ask how it will be resolved. If an object appears only as a display prop, exclude it explicitly. The decision should describe supply scope rather than invent an explanation for the discrepancy.
Close the quotation with an acknowledged revision
Send the member list, quantity table and open questions through the official contact channel. Ask the supplier to acknowledge the same document revision that purchasing will use. A later change to a supplied member, separately offered extra or packing basis should identify which rows and totals are affected.
Keep product-performance questions outside this supply-count approval. The website contains additional marketing claims, but this article does not verify cushioning, electrical functions, comfort, water resistance or health effects. If such a requirement matters to the order, request appropriate product-specific evidence and a separate decision. A complete pair count cannot establish those outcomes.
Frequently asked questions
Does the product name confirm nine lacing eyelets?
No. It is the catalogue reference. Request the exact construction information needed for the order instead of deriving it from the product or category name.
Are the laptop and other staging objects included?
They are not part of this RFQ. A staged photograph must not be used as a supply list; confirm the actual shoe and packing members in writing.
Should spare laces be counted as another pair?
No. If separately offered, record them as their own item and quantity. Keep the ordered shoe-pair total separate.
What is the final approval document?
Use an acknowledged member list and unit-conversion table linked to the exact catalogue version and sample reference, with unresolved items visible.
